Welcome to Laboratory of Monitoring Science

Laboratory of Monitoring Science (LMS) is a Global Research Platform for Structural Health Monitoring (SMS) research. The power of the future is the power of the mind. The laboratory of monitoring science was eastablished to provide a research platform to under graduate and graduate students interested in health of Engineering structures like private homes, national bridges, dams, aeroplanes, satellites, Machines etc. This lab comprises of Four active units with specific research goals. Non Destructive Unit works in the area of "Application of sening technology for monitoring structures". Environmental Sciences Unit works in the area of "Aquifers, Efficiency of waterbodies etc". Computaional Mechanics Unit works in the area of "Mechanical interaction of sensors for health assessment of structures". Photonics Unit works in the area of "Manufacturing of efficient senors for applications in engineering and science". We aim to prepare a knowledge workforce comparable to one of the best in the world through cutting edge technologies. LMS emphasises on Individual projects, group projects and colloborative project, so that our students learn to be co-operative and productive team members. International platform provides student the unique experience of working indirectly with world class researchers in Korea, Singapore, USA, India and Europian Union. This exposure provides these budding professionals the opportunity to work on current problems and to learn to thrive in the conducive and encouraging work environment. The LMS is committed to creating an ambience for nurturing innovation, creativity and excellence in our students. We strongly support interdisciplinary research and development for the benefit of Industry and Society. If you are interested to work with us irrespective of your location, then you are most welcome. Very soon we are launching free membersip program for world wide researchers in Structural Health Monitoring. our contact: Email: laboratory.monitoring.science@gmail.com (or) anna0002@ntu.edu.sg
